For the last two years, corruption, nepotism and irregularities in promotions and transfers have become the order of the day. During recent visit of Director Education KP to Chitral, the alleged irregularities were brought to his notice with the result of his directions to hold an inquiry. After the lapse of two weeks, however, no inquiry has been conducted and instead corruption has been given more patronage. It is high time that the provincial government should find an experienced officer to head the district education office female in Chitral. The incumbent has created a mess in the education circles. Her successor should be a competent and neutral personality like the retired DEO Gulsamber Begum. Such a move will save the girls schools in Chitral from mass destruction. Shakir Ullah Chitral]]>
